Fast and friendly service. The place is a little small but they put everything out in front and always have a lot in stock. Their cha lua IS THE BEST I'VE EVER HAD IN THE US!!! Their bánh dầy is also really good, although I wish the cha lua cut was a little less thick. Otherwise, so yummy. CASH ONLY!

Cha lua is hot and fresh here. There's usually a line, but it moves pretty fast. This is the place I go locally for Cha to it was French baguette, bun bo hue, and add to my ramen noodles.

I love going here for cha lua (my mom is actually who recommended this place as it is her go to)s i ordered the Cha Lua Lon (large is 2 lbs) for $14! They sell a 1 lb cha which is $7. The cha is very bouncy with a nice saltiness that isn't overpowering. I used this cha with some homemade banh canh, and it was 10/10. Service is fast, and it seems there is always vietnamese people pulling up to get some every second. Hoping to try the fried cha next time! Remember, CASH ONLY!!

So we have been getting these Vietnamese hams called gio lua ( southerners call it cha lua) and gio bi for the last 2 years. And the quality of these have actually gotten BETTER!!! I'm not sure how. Maybe the chefs will tell you that their recipe hasn't changed. I haven't asked. So, it could be that the quality of the meat has gotten better. Maybe The quality of the feed and environment of the farm animals has improved. And that is all wonderful and makes me smile a lot!!! :0)

Always busy but service is pretty quick! I always come here to stock up on Nem and chả lụa when I'm in Houston before going home. Make sure you let them know you're flying out of state so they don't give you the ready to eat ones.

Duc Huong is the best place to get cha lua! They're open early and sell out very quickly. Their nem chua is also very good. If you arrive at peak hours, there's usually a line out the door. They accept Cash Only and don't accept credit cards.

Called in an order for 20 gio lua and the worker on the phone informed me it would be about 30 to 45 minutes before my order was ready and that payment would be in all cash. Very happy when I arrived my order was ready, 5 packed per bag. Very seamless transaction. The gio itself freezes well and defrost to eat when I need. Definitely the place to go to get your gio. I

Best cha (or gio) in Houston! Made hot and fresh daily and a great addition to Banh cuon or homemade Banh mi. The cha/gio is cooked in banana leaves and never nasty plastic wrap.

I was able to pick up gio cha here to eat with banh chung! Very generous-sized loaf for $6. Would recommend. CASH only.
